Fabric Bow Barrettes

Want to make cute barrettes that are really cute, really easy and quick?
This barrette is made with a clip and some scraps of fabric.

Start with some scraps of fabric. One is a squat rectangle - for the bow shape - and one is a long rectangle - to wrap around the bow.  I hot glued the edges to hem them quickly so they would not fray.
Then I put hot glue in the middle of the squat rectangle and pinched the fabric into a bow shape.  Then i put hot glue on the longer rectangle, wrapping it around the bow shape.  I trimmed the extra.

Next I put a small bit of fabric on the back of the top part of the barrette.  This helped hold the bow in place and makes it look and feel a little better in the hair.

Make many more with your fabric scraps!

Cute!
Glue gun tip: if you have a lot of glue gun strings, don't worry!  Simply blow the barrette with a hair dryer.  It will remove all of those pesky glue gun strings :)
