Ribbon Hair Barrettes

For my last installment of hair barrettes, I did a ribbon barrette.  They are even easier than the fabric bows.  Start by cutting ribbon, one twice the length of the barrette and the other about that size so you have lots of room to fold it into a bow.

Start by wrapping the ribbon around the barrette as shown in the last two tutorials, with the hot glue gun.

Put a drop of hot glue in the middle of the ribbon and fold the two ends to the middle creating two loops.

Wrap a scrap of ribbon around the middle, securing with glue gun.

Beautiful!
Glue gun tip: if you have a lot of glue gun strings, don't worry!  Simply blow the barrette with a hair dryer.  It will remove all of those pesky glue gun strings :)
